I went to a Red Pheasant Cree Nation round dance as a visitor. I am Lakota, Dakota, and Hidatsa, and every time I go to a round dance in Cree country, I learn something new. In the Cree language, this dance is called ewepiwek (ᐁᐍᐱᐍᐠ). It’s a dance where community members honor visitors by asking them to dance.
