On July 9, 1985 NWA WorldWide Wrestling aired on The SuperStation WTBS. Fresh off their arrival from the Mid-Atlantic region, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) debuted in the NWA’s Jim Crockett Promotions against the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Ivan Koloff and Krusher Khrushchev in Shelby, North Carolina. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express won the titles to begin their first of four reigns as NWA World Tag Team Champions. Their first reign lasted until October 13, 1985. | Davenpo
