Yesterday, we were able to witness history. The last Martin JRM Mars flying boat stood down for its final resting place at Pima. We were fortunate to have a flyover at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Had the awesome opportunity to fly the Martin "Hawaii" Mars to AirVenture in 2016. In preparation for the flight, I spent two weeks at Sproat Lake in Vancouver Island with the great Coulson Flying Tankers team, getting familiar with the giant flying boat.
