Migaloo, the famous white humpback whale is estimated to have been born in 1986. Although he is all white, scientists refer to him as 'hypopigmented' instead of 'albino' because he doesn't have red or pink eyes - he has brown eyes like other humpbacks. Migaloo was the first sighted white whale in the world. There are now 3-4 other known white whales (all humpbacks) making them exceedingly rare!
