The Reservoir is at an altitude of 160 metres and is 20 metres deep with a predominantly silty bottom. There are a couple of sunken boats to view and the sluice gates, but beware if they are open.

The reservoir by the car park is very picturesque but its well worth walking all the way up to the top reservoir which is huge and offers some lovely views. It was about 5 miles all of the way round.

The Lliw reservoirs are just north of Swansea, close to the M4 and parking there is easy. The walks and views from the car park are beautiful. The walk to the upper reservoir is particularly recommended and is paved the entire way.

Lliw reservoir is beautiful. There's a good footpath all the way to the upper reservoir which is suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, etc. It's very peaceful. There's a cafe at the lower reservoir with plenty of parking there too. The cafe is fine for icecreams and basic food but average. Read more.
