The United States Digital Service is a startup at the White House that pairs the country’s top technology talent with the best public servants, to improve the usefulness and reliability of the country’s most important digital services.

The United States DOGE Service (USDS), formerly the United States Digital Service, [1] is a technology unit [2][3] housed within the Executive Office of the President of the United States. It provides consultation services to federal agencies on information technology.

USDS is working with over 10 agencies to build their in-house digital service teams through hiring, teambuilding, and upskilling. However, significantly scaling capacity will also require new approaches across the entire government.

Founded by President Obama in August of 2014, the U.S. Digital Service brought together the best engineering, design, and government talent to change our government’s approach to technology.
