Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gushed with gratitude toward President Donald Trump during an Oval Office meeting.

Since the beginning of his second term, Trump has directed several major renovations at the White House. Trump redesigned the previously minimalist Oval Office, making some of the most significant changes to the room's appearance in modern presidential history, adding gold medallions, gold vermeil figurines, gold eagles, and gilded Rococo mirrors.

Zelensky returns to the Oval Office for the first time since his blowup with Trump. This time he is bringing back up.

Since US president Donald Trump was inaugurated in January, he's set about making plenty of changes in the White House.

Russia has occupied a fifth of Ukrainian territory - and a big map showing the area shaded in red was put up in the Oval Office as if to emphasise that point for President Donald Trump's talks with Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday.

The Oval Office has undergone a  transformation under President Trump, featuring gold embellishments and ornate decor. Critics have voiced their disapproval.
