A bomb blast at an Islamic seminary in northwestern Pakistan known as a historic training ground for the Afghan Taliban killed six worshipers during Friday prayers, police said.

A senior cleric and five other worshippers were killed on Friday in a suicide bomb attack at a pro-Taliban seminary in northwestern Pakistan ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan, police said. Many people were wounded during the attack in a mosque at the Jamia Haqqania seminary,

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police also released a picture of the suspected suicide bomber and assured the public that the name of the informant would not be disclosed.
