At least 350 people died after weekend flash flooding pounded northwest Pakistan, with similar monsoon weather causing at least another 13 deaths in northern China this week, according to Reuters reports. The catastrophic flooding triggered landslides and swept entire homes into swollen, rapidly flowing rivers.

Pakistan has received higher-than-normal monsoon rainfall this year, triggering floods and mudslides that have killed more than 540 people since June 26.
Severe monsoonal flooding has caused widespread devastation across Pakistan, destroying homes and sweeping away entire villages.
The destroyed properties included 37 schools, 83 roads and 10 bridges. Irrigation infrastructure bore the heaviest blow, with 226 channels and 68 water supply schemes left unusable. The Irrigation Department alone reported losses of more than Rs 10.
The country has endured heavier rain during monsoon seasons, which scientists have attributed to climate change. The authorities said that at least 194 people died on Friday.
