Lloyds and Nationwide were among British lenders hit by IT glitches on Friday for several hours, amid increased scrutiny by lawmakers of technical problems at banks that have prevented customers from accessing services.

Halifax, is part of the Lloyds Banking group. It said customers were having problems logging on but no card payment issues had been reported. The banks said there were issues logging on to online and mobile banking. TSB also said it was having “intermittent” issues with online and mobile banking but that card payments were still working

Thousands of Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and TSB app users have been left without access to funds on payday due to a service outage.

Many Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Nationwide and First Direct customers are suffering issues that are leaving them locked out of their accounts on payday according to Down- Detector.
