That's not an easy situation for the competitors in the QB battle, but it at least meant job security for the quartet of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. The latest comments from Browns coach Kevin Stefanski are playing a different tune, though.

Gabriel, 24, had a decent showing during Cleveland’s 22-13 win over Philadelphia, completing 13-of-18 passes for 173 yards. The third-round selection did, however, throw an interception in the second quarter, which the Eagles returned for a touchdown.

With two first-round picks in 2026, Cleveland likely needs to evaluate both rookie quarterbacks during the regular season despite limited practice opportunities.
