(The Center Square) — After California received a letter from U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi on sanctuary policies, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office responded by reminding Bondi of the state’s right to refrain from assisting federal immigration enforcement.

Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek has responded to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi's threats to comply with federal immigration enforcement efforts, stating that Oregon has never engaged in conduct that thwarts immigration enforcement and that the state will not take on the additional expense or burden of performing federal immigration enforcement.
