Vikentii, a 16-year-old Amur or Sibertarian tiger at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, was euthanized after a sudden decline in health.

The zoo said the cat had various health issues and its quality of life was declining.

The gathering marked the culmination of the League's centennial year and also served as a kickoff for 54th annual Christmas Ball for the Animals.

Spring is in sight and that means Adventureland in Farmingdale is getting ready to reopen on March 20. The 64-year-old amusement park will unveil three new rides and two new games for its 2026 season.
