White House rips ex-White Stripes singer for slamming Trump Oval Office redecorating as 'gaudy'
"White Stripes" singer Jack White slammed Trump's new Oval Office décor as "vulgar" and "gaudy" following Ukraine meeting, prompting sharp rebuke from White House officials.
Jack White is not backing down from calling out Donald Trump and has taken the biggest swipe at the president and his reputation.
White's post continued at length, with the musician quoting Theodore Roosevelt in his caption: "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
The musician described the Oval Office as a "vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler's dressing room."
