BigXthaPlug’s attorney pledged to fight misdemeanor gun and drug charges after the rapper’s album release party was abruptly canceled following his arrest in Dallas.

As he walked out of the Dallas County Jail, BigXthaPlug was only interested in answering questions about his latest record. Once he was home, he shared a video of his new record plaques.

DPD said an officer asked the driver, identified as Landum, if he had a firearm. BigXthaPlug told officers he did, and where to find it in the truck. Police said a criminal database flagged BigXthaPlug as connected to a gang in Arlington, which meant he was not able to legally possess a gun.
