Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin on Wednesday announced 31 actions that the agency will undertake to "power the great American comeback."

Through petitions, court filings, regulatory comments, and public outreach, our organization has fought to raise awareness about the immense costs of regulatory policies that far outweigh their environmental benefits.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said his actions will eliminate trillions of dollars in regulatory costs and “hidden taxes."

And EPA plans to overhaul the Biden administration’s “social cost of carbon,” a metric used to assess the cost of climate change. On his first day in office, Trump ordered EPA to weigh eliminating the “social cost of carbon” from regulatory decisions and to consider the legality of the “endangerment finding.”

The Environmental Protection Agency plans more than 30 actions to reconsider rules. They include ones that limit pollution from power plants, automobiles and the oil and gas industry. The agenda further targets protections aimed at lowering greenhouse gas emissions that drive up global temperatures.

The Environmental Protection Agency is moving to unwind 31 Biden-era regulations intended to boost industries ranging from agriculture to electric utilities, oil and petrochemicals and automobiles to align with Trump’s vows to slash red tape.

The agency announced Wednesday that it will begin the process of dismantling dozens of Biden-era rules for electric vehicles, power plants, clean water and more.
