General Motors Corp., after a series of twists and complications, received final approval to go racing in Formula One in 2026.

Cadillac's Formula 1 team has received official approval to join the grid in 2026 and its owners insist the team will be ready to compete, with powertrains to be built in a facility on the North Carolina campus of Hendrick Motorsports and the F1 program to be run from a new facility in Indiana and a second factory in Silverstone,

The team is planning to use a new racing facility in Concord, where it will build engines for its future cars.
