Matt Moore is a decade removed from being an All-Star starter for the Tampa Bay Rays, but the veteran has shown enough flashes as a reliever that the Boston Red Sox were willing to take a flier on him.

The former Boston Red Sox infielder signed a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, the team announced. The contract includes a non-roster invite to spring training. Westbrook slashed .267/.
