AUSTIN, Texas — Several thousand Austin Energy customers were without power Thursday morning. According to the company's outage map, roughly 4,300 customers were initially impacted by the outage, which started around 6:50 a.m. in South Austin. Around 7:50 a.m., those numbers decreased to around 3,000.
A total of 2,090 customers are without power and five hazards are impacting the Austin community from West Oak Hill to Copperfield, according to the Austin Energy outage map.
