Microsoft talked up its Universal Windows Platform with a number of new UWP apps, as well as Project Centennial, a toolset to bring old Win32 apps into the UWP world.

Formerly known as "Project Reunion," the platform is meant to bridge the app gap Microsoft created for itself nearly a decade ago when it first launched the Universal Windows Platform (UWP).
