Alphabet Inc. is making one of the biggest changes to Google Maps in over a decade, with an “Ask Maps” feature that will allow users to interact with the product like a chatbot.

Google Maps will depend more heavily on artificial intelligence to help people figure out where they want to go and the best way to get there as part of a major redesign unveiled Thursday

Now instead of displaying a 2D map of the area around your car, Maps will render the surroundings in 3D.
