L.J. Cryer scored a game-high 17 points and helped the sixth-ranked Houston Cougars stave off a second-half rally by the host West Virginia Mountaineers for a 63-49 victory in Morgantown, W. Va., on Wednesday.

The West Virginia Mountaineers stormed back to erase a 20 point deficit at halftime and cut the lead to 6 points in the second half, but it was a bit too little too late, losing 63-49 to the #6 ranked Houston Cougars.
