A federal judge in Louisiana said the deportation of the child to Honduras with her mother, even though her father had filed an emergency petition, appeared to be “illegal and unconstitutional.”

A federal judge has ordered a hearing to determine whether the Trump administration deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen with “no meaningful process.” U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty set the date of May 16 to resolve the matter of the New Orleans-born child, who he said appears to be in Honduras with her mother.
