The Boston Celtics now officially belong to Bill Chisholm. The investor group led by the Chisholm has completed its acquisition of the majority control of the franchise, the Celtics announced Tuesday.

The sale of the Boston Celtics was finalized on Tuesday, with private equity mogul Bill Chisholm taking over control of the NBA’s most-decorated franchise from a group led by Wyc Grousbeck that had owned them for more than two decades.

The ownership group led by Bill Chisholm has officially taken control of the team, and circulated a release to that effect with the team Tuesday.
