Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is facing a touchline ban after accepting a Football Association (FA) charge following his Merseyside derby red card. The club and Slot’s assistant Sipke Hulshoff also accepted separate charges prior to Wednesday’s deadline.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot must wait to discover the extent of his ban after he was sent off amid fractious scenes at the end of Wednesday's Merseyside derby.

Arne Slot was shown a red card in the dying moments of the Merseyside Derby on Monday, but he is still on the touchline for Liverpool's trip to Aston Villa.

If Slot accepts his FA charge and is given a one-match ban before Wednesday, he will be banned from the touchline at Villa Park. If Slot is slapped with a two-game ban for his red card at Everton, the Dutchman would also miss next Sunday’s trip to Manchester City.
