2 earthquakes near Malibu shake parts of LA
Two small earthquakes in the same area shook Malibu on Friday night and Saturday morning. The first was a magnitude 3.7 at 11:44 p.m. Friday; the second was a magnitude 3.5 at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the U.S Geological Survey reported. The temblors were centered about 7 miles west-northwest of Malibu and 9 miles south-southwest of Thousand Oaks.
Weak to light shaking was reported at about 2:15 p.m. in Malibu, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, South Bay communities, Long Beach, the San Fernando Valley and other parts of Los Angeles.
