John Callahan fell in love with pickleball right away. With a background in teaching tennis, Callahan saw an opportunity to help players better understand a fast-growing sport and launched Chesterfield-based Callahan Pickleball Academy.

Before pickleball became a nationwide phenomenon, a group of friends in Omaha were already working to bring the sport to their city.
