Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) makes his first title defense against Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) in Saturday's main event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Buckley, who saw his six-fight winning streak snapped by Kamaru Usman in June, thinks Makhachev's grappling will be too much for Della Maddalena.

A win over welterweight king Jack Della Maddalena will almost certainly propel Islam Makhachev back to the top of the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings. It would also set up a potential fight with the legend Dana White ranks ahead of Georges St-Pierre.
