Despite being hired in 2020, it seems Taika Waititi has yet to submit his script for his untitled 'Star Wars' project.

Lucasfilm’s President Kathleen Kennedy recently shared an update on the Star Wars movie which will be helmed by Taika Waititi. She recently confirmed that she is not taking retirement anytime soon and revealed she is producing the upcoming Star Wars projects.

Many Star Wars projects are in development for the big and small screen, but one in particular is still in a galaxy far, far away. According to LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy, she’s still waiting on a script from Taika Waititi for his announced entry into the Star Wars film canon.
