The Raiders haven't had a stable quarterback in several years. They can't go into another season without making a big investment at the position.

This time last year we were still waiting on the Las Vegas Raiders to put together their coaching staff. In fact, it wasn't until two weeks from today that then-head coach Antonio Pierce actually finished his staff.

New Raiders coach Pete Carroll followed through on his pledge to retain some assistants from last year's staff. Two of the three coordinators were on the staff under previous coach Antonio Pierce — Patrick Graham on defense and Tom McMahon on special teams.
