Tom Izzo took blame for No. 11 Michigan State basketball's loss to Indiana and promised the Spartans would be better prepared Saturday at Illinois.

Tom Izzo had an opportunity to break Bob Knight's Big Ten wins record, as fate would have it, against Bob Knight's old team, and the first team Izzo ever beat, Indiana. Instead, the Spartans were shocked by a desperate Indiana team and its stifling zone defense.

Malik Reneau scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half to help Indiana beat No. 11 Michigan State 71-67 Tuesday night, leaving Tom Izzo on the brink of breaking Bob Knight’s Big Ten wins record.
