Spike Lee recently said that his documentary series on former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will not be televised by ESPN.
It is believed the series can still be shopped elsewhere, a source briefed on the situation told The Athletic.
"We appreciate all the hard work and collaboration that went into this film," the network said in a statement.
